Featured Post: ACGC hosting Regional Guitar Day

The Aberconwy Classical Guitar Club will be hosting a regional event for members of the Federation of Guitar Societies this summer. The Wales, North West and Midlands Guitar Showcase Day will take place on 22 June 2019 at the Alive Church in Prestatyn.  Attending clubs will have the opportunity to perform up to three ensemble pieces for the other clubs and all attending guitar players will be able to join in up to four "mass ensemble" performances which will be led by Raymond Burley.  Cost is £10 per person including refreshments and a light lunch. FGS Day: Registration Glitches!

We've been having some problems with the online form which FGS members can use to register for the FGS Wales, North West and Midlands Showcase Day on June 22nd.    These seem to have specifically affected anyone who was trying to register with a btinternet email address.  We believe the problems have now been sorted so if, by any chance, you've registered for the event but not received a reply, please try again! March 2019 meeting

2-5pm Sunday 3 March Penmaenmawr Community Library Agenda: Ensemble practice of music already selected for the June 22 FGS Guitar Day Coffee and biscuits Individual and duet performances. Pub (if open) Please check the club members page for updated mp3 practice files. Jane is our biscuits volunteer this month! Notes from our Music Director (added 1 March): The plan for Sunday the 3rd is to put parts and players together in the same area, i.e. guitar 1's in a cluster far left, guitar 2's in a cluster left of centre etc. In order to do this, we need to be playing in either a semi-circle, two rows, or a staggered row semi-circle.  The other task is to finalise the third piece we wish to perform on June 22nd. According to my [Kev's] notes, we have decided upon Espanoleta and Here, There and Everywhere .   For those who are not aware, as requested by some, there is now a pdf of Espanoletas in full with mp3's for all parts and the whole piece on the club
